If we allow a religion to exercise its rights into a public schools, can we then deny it to other religious, including atheists or wicca, to advertise in schools? This may be a slippery slope if we allow a mixture of church and state.

When we say "In God we Trust" we aren't specifying which God they have to trust or believe in. Maybe we should just make God plural? That would cover all but the nonbelievers. And, in this country you are actually free to not believe...those people should be thankful that they aren't persecuted and that they are allowed to think what they want...why can't the rest of us be free to trust in God publicly? And lets face it, the incompetence of our public schools means that kids only say the pledge of allegiance out of habit and have no idea what it all means...try it...have a kid say it to you and you will quickly realize that it is only a scripted habitual saying...like a dog doing trick. Its not like we are really teaching religion (or much of anything else) in these public schools. I do NOT think we should push prayer on students...that would be crossing the line. But, I do think we should allow them to believe in something that is obviously good even if it isn't true (aren't the 10 commandments at least a good idea to live by even if the concepts didn't cxome from a supreme being???) When all of the religion and beliefs are taken away...what are we teaching kids to believe in? In other countries, even when thier beliefs are questionable or obviously unacceptable, at least they have a sense of who they are and why. What do our kids believe in? MTV? Nintendo? The state of our public school system is a joke and I don't think the saying "in God we trust" has anything to do with it. Why don't they try to focus on teaching kids hard cold skills that will help them in the real world and quit griping and moaning about everything like all these liberal left wing fanatics always do?

Nothing.

This country was founded onthe concept of freedom of religion, not freedom from religion.
