With our current laws, one could take the life of a young child and be out of jail before the child would have graduated from high school. That is so wrong of the system. If the prison sentence for the murder of a child was harsher we would deter others from taking the life of another child. WE LOOSE TOO MANY CHILDREN, and we must all do what we can to protect the children. It is a shame that I must say Pennsylvania is not a safe place for children. Take time and meet family members of a murdered child, and you will agree.
There is a quilt that hangs in the Lancaster County Court House that focuses on murder victims. Take the time and look at all the victims, look into the eyes of the children, look at their faces and see how many we have lost. We must all do what we can to stop the loss of innocent lives. Our children are our future!
Fanmily members of Homicide Victims never have closure, lets make sure we prevent others from this heart wrentching experience.
I ask each and every law abiding citizen to support this Bill. I urge you to call everyone you know to support this Bill! Make your voice heard. PLEASE, the next child taken could be yours!

This bill can not be passed to help my family, but I hope it will help other families because homicide will always happen, but maybe this bill will help to deter abusers. I will never have closure and my life will never be the same. CHILDREN ARE OUR FUTURE and we need to do everything to protect them.
